Veterinary Surgeon Nottingham

Veterinary Surgeon Nottingham cat and dog imageOur Nottingham veterinary surgery is located on Ilkeston Road. It was established in 1933 and later bought by Mr Frank Davison in 1947. The surgery is now run by his son Mr John Davison and his wife Mrs Jane Davison.

As a family owned practice we have a reputation for giving a caring service at a fair price. All invoices have to be paid on the day of treatment to keep the overheads lower. We can take most debit and credit cards except American express.

We have a high level of equipment including an in-house blood machine, x-ray machine, ultrasound scanner, endoscopy and cryosurgery.

We use the top of the range anaesthetic and monitoring for patient safety and always give pain relief for operations.

We treat cats and dogs and small furries. Unfortunately we do not treat farm animals or horses.

Neutering

We do routine neutering at 6 months for cats. We believe in neutering bitches after their first season.

Pet Holidays

We issue pet passports and export certificates for pets. Your pet passport application includes vaccinations followed by blood tests which have to be completed before a passport can be issued. This means that the entire process may take up to 8 weeks, so think ahead!

Pet Nutrition

We are happy to give advice on pet nutrition. Davisons stock a selection of recommended pet foods.

Fleas

Treatment can be given using monthly spot-on products or for cats an injection every 6 months.

Ticks

Treat animals particularly during the season from April-June and September-October. Recommended if walking in Derbyshire or visiting a tick area such as Norfolk or the Scottish Highlands.

Acupuncture

By using acupuncture we can treat joint problems and back pains. Davison Veterinary Surgeon Nottingham has a growing number of success stories.

Insurance

We strongly recommend insurance as ever increasing technology has lead to spiraling costs. You should always check different policies carefully for exclusions. Some policies only cover a condition for up to one year.
